The LibreRouter has not been designed with that usecase in mind, but it can certainly can, with some caveats.
Conferences and camps pose a special challenge to wifi networks as they tend to have a lot of people all-together in a small space, with a lot of devices connected at the same time.
There have been some experiences using the Libremesh software (which the LibreRouter’s Operating System is based on) to provide connectivity on camps, like at the Klimacamp in 2018. The LibreRouter will perform better than the devices used in that moment as it has more power and radios available.
With time, the LibreRouter will become more effective at it as software updates upgrade its software, but it is certainly not the focus of it.
